Traditonal Red Pottery Says Goodbye February 28th
The life of a Longaberger piece of pottery and the stories it could tell! Introduced in 1992, the red had it’s problems when it first came out. Red is a difficult color to work with in the pottery world. Longaberger spent many months getting it just right and customers patiently waited for delivery. Shortly after becoming a consultant in 1994, imagine my surprise when JD contacted me to say that she wanted to sell her TR pottery pieces and would I know of anyone who would be interested? She explained that she loved the pottery and her family of 5 had used it for about 3 years, but it was such good stuff that she had yet to chip or break a piece of it. You see, she was one that like to change things up with her dinnerware…getting a new pattern every few years and she didn’t see the Longaberger dishes “wearing out” anytime soon. LOL!
I was happy to fill the need and bought all of her placesettings, a pie plate, mixing bowl and pitcher for my family of 5. She was happy it was going to a good home and I was happy to “take it off her hands”! Our family used the dishes daily until the TOMATO RED came out! Now Connie is the lucky one to be using the TR pottery in her home and we’re enjoying the Tomato Red in ours.
I wonder if JD knows how many beautiful colors of pottery we have now? Round and Square, flare and rectangle…we have so many options. Plus Seasonal! All the same great quality that you expect from Longaberger. Check out a WishList for all of the great colors and serving pieces at www.longaberger.com/cindygoff

This is our signature pattern introduced in 1990 in Classic Blue. Then came WT Red and Heritage Green in 1992.
