That’s us! My interest in folk-art and handcrafted in the USA, brought me to my first Longaberger Basket Party in 1988. It was love at first sight! When I heard that these hardwood maple baskets, were made in America, and made to last, I knew that I was going to love ‘em. With my growing family, I welcomed the functionality and durability. I liked the idea of having a quality product to use every day with our busy life-style. I especially loved the history of the Longaberger family and the many stories that went along with it. Handmade baskets to be handed down…that’s a Longaberger Basket.
While baskets brought me into this…the additional products from pottery to wrought iron have also found a place in my home. Once you have tried Longaberger pottery, you won’t go back! It’s simply the best in the marketplace!
This thing I have for Longaberger just kind of grew on me. I planned my purchases so that I knew what I would use the most. Those early shows, I hosted and attended, I got the market, cake, magazine and gathering baskets. These are baskets I still use today!
I have since become a Longaberger Consultant and have turned my passion into a business. I am now a “Branch Leader” with my own group of consultants. We are small but mighty! Our group is based in Keizer/Salem OR and we have consultants in 4 states. Our branch name is American Spirit & Friends and we welcome anyone who has this thing for Longaberger, like we do.
